Any app that shares live location uses some battery — that is unavoidable. Kinfara is built to be as light as it can while keeping safety features working, and it tells you if a family member’s phone is running low, so a dead battery never means a silent worry.
Yes — it’s a native app on both, and they work together seamlessly. A parent on iPhone and a child on Android stay in the same family circle.
Sharing is always visible to everyone in the circle — there is no hidden mode. If someone pauses sharing, the family can see that too. It’s built on consent, not secrecy.
Yes. Location is end‑to‑end encrypted, so only the people in your circle can read it. Some basic status, such as when a phone last reported in and its battery level, is not encrypted, and if the law compels us we can only hand over what we hold, which for location is unreadable ciphertext. We never sell your data.
Kinfara has two plans, Silver and Gold, each billed monthly or yearly; the prices are in our Terms of Use and are shown before you pay. Each family gets one 7‑day free trial: you choose Silver or Gold and add a payment method first (on iPhone, your Apple ID; on Android, Google Play). Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing; after it, the plan renews automatically until you cancel.
